Just a few this weekend

First was the big one of the weekend. A 3D baby elmo cake for a 1st bday!!! Next was a pirate themed cake with a cute treasure map along the side. Last was a soccer themed cake. My friends dad is a huge Chivas fan so the cake is a Chiva taking down their rival, the Aguilas. I also made another giant cupcake for a 2nd bday but I didn't get a chance to take a picture. I'm waiting for the customer to send me pics. :)

Hello again!

Soooo......I've been getting more and more requests for cakes during the week. I'm not complaining!! (well, a little cause I like to think of my mondays and tuesdays as my weekend, lol) As much as i'd love to have a couple of days off, I love making cakes even more! This cake was made for my friend Jennell. She loves to snowboard so it was perfect. It was a hit with her and the family. Happy Birthday Jennell!!

I made this cake today. It's for a girl who loves designer handbags. It's meant to look like a Coach-Madison collection bag. Cake is yellow with buttercream filling.

Weekend Cakes

Another busy week! First is a 2 tiered abby cadabby cake for little Miya's 1st birthday! Next 3 are for 1 party! I made cake pops as favors for Carl's Christening/1st birthday party. Then, there's the christening cake and a monkey cake. Cute! Last is a giant banana with 4 mischevious monkeys hanging out...I really love this cake!

Anyssa's 1st Birthday

My friend and #1 customer, Adrianna's daughter Anyssa turned 1 today! She was going to have her pictures taken so I made this oversized cupcake for them to incorporate into the photo shoot. I just heard from Adrianna and she said the pictures came out great and the photog took my info for the future (nice!) I can't wait to see the pictures. Underneath is her actual bday cake. They're not having a big party till spring so I made this small cake just for today. It's Anyssa with her little yorkie, Yogi. I love the way the pup came out!!

New year....New cakes!!!

Orders for 2010 have been pouring in! I'm so thankful that my small business is taking off! Here's a couple cakes from this weekend.

First is a ballet themed cake. It's 2 tiers. Bottom tier is dark chocolate cake with freshstrawberry filling and the top is yellow cake with chocolate butter cream filling. The 2nd is the infamous baby basket! Only, this one was HUGE!!!! I would guess it was around 70lbs. Cake flavors are almond cake with strawberry mousse and dark chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling. The design was meant to compliment the baby shower invitations that had trains, buttons and stars on them. I have a lot of cakes this week so be sure to check in next monday!
